Resolution for Amendment to the Wake County Fire Commission Rules of Procedure
Recommended Action
That the Board of Commissioners authorizes the Fire Commission to amend Section III D of the Wake County Fire Commission’s Rules of Procedure by inserting the words “primary citizen appointees” before the words “shall not be affiliated with any county fire department or their Board of Directors” and add the words, “Citizens may be considered for appointment as Alternates regardless of whether they are affiliated with a county fire department as long as they recuse themselves on issues presenting a conflict of interest to them or the county fire department with which they are affiliated, such as votes on recommendations directly impacting the affiliated fire department” at the end of that section
