Wake County Public School System CIP Reallocations and Appropriations (First Reading)

Recommended Action

That the Board of Commissioners receives information from the Board of Education on requests for reallocations in CIP 2006, appropriations and reallocations in CIP 2013, and appropriations in the WCPSS Multi-Year CIP.  If there are no outstanding questions, the Board of Commissioners will be asked to approve the following action items on March 6, 2017:  

 

1.                     Reallocate a total of $3,073,534 from CIP 2006 and CIP 2013.  Decrease the CIP 2006 Plan of Record by $3,073,534 and increase the CIP 2013 Plan of Record by $3,073,534;

 

2.                     Reallocate a total of $33,691,077 in CIP 2013 for construction at Buckhorn Creek Elementary (E-45), public infrastructure at Apex Friendship Middle and Buckhorn Creek Elementary, and startup design for the Conn Elementary and Fuquay-Varina High renovations and E-35

 

3.                     Appropriate a total of $103,501,967 in CIP 2013 for partial construction funding at one new school and two renovations, public infrastructure at two new schools, startup design for five projects, and annual requests for program management, life cycle replacements, technology, mobile classroom relocations, facility assessments, and environmental and ADA compliance

 

4.                     Appropriate a total of $127,234,000 in the WCPSS multi-year CIP for partial construction at two schools, full construction at one school, partial design for two renovation projects, and public infrastructure at Vandora Springs Elementary
