Public Hearing on the Abolishment of the Existing Wake County Fire Tax District

Recommended Action

That the Board of Commissioners:

 

                     1.                     Holds a public hearing regarding the proposed abolishment of the Wake County Fire Tax District pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 153A-306; and

 

                     2.                     Following the public hearing, finds that there is no longer a need for the existing Wake County Fire Tax District in its current form and that there are no outstanding bonds or notes issued to finance projects in the district;

                                          and

                     

                     3.        Adopts the Resolution abolishing the Wake County Fire Tax District effective June 30, 2027.
