Request of The Wake County Board of Education For Approval and Funding of a Multi-Year Operating Lease of a School Facility - 931 Durham Road (Second Reading)
Recommended Action
1. Adopt the attached resolution approving a Wake County Board of Education commercial building and parcel lease for operational, educational and student support purposes, and direct staff to provide such additional data as may be necessary to support of the Board of Education’s submittal of an application to the North Carolina Local Government Commission for approval of the lease; and
2. Approve future recurring appropriations totaling approximately $9,051,765 of cash to the Board of Education’s operating budget (from and after July 1, 2026) to address the lease costs over the fifteen (15) year term of the lease.
