Accept and Appropriate Additional $1,000,916 of Workforce Investment & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Funding and Establish 1.000 FTE

Recommended Action

That the Board of Commissioners:

 

1.                     Accepts and appropriates $1,000,916.00 of Workforce Investment & Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant funding from the NC Department of Commerce Division of Workforce Solutions (NCDWS) into the Capital Area Workforce Development Fund; and

 

2.                     Establishes 1.000 FTE to support the development of a comprehensive outreach plan and implement outreach strategies designed to increase the public’s awareness and understanding of Capital Area Workforce Development (CAWD) and available career services.
