Sale of County Property to the Town of Wendell
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Commissioners:
1. Authorizes the County to subdivide and sell a portion of the County owned parcel (“Property”) located at 0 Industrial Drive in accordance with N.C.G.S. 160A-274, being approximately 32.246 acres and;
2. Accepts and appropriates the Town of Wendell’s offer in the amount of $454,274.23 to purchase the Property into the Parks, Greenways, and Open Space capital program and;
3. Directs the County Manager to execute a contract for sale of the Property to the Town of Wendell, subject to the terms and conditions acceptable to the County Attorney and;
4. Authorizes the Chairman to sign the deed, subdivision plat, and any other documents necessary to convey the subject property to the Town of Wendell, subject to the terms and conditions acceptable to the County Attorney.
